The New London Routemaster Bus

Boris rocks.

When it was announced that the institution that is the hop-on, hop-off London routemaster was to be phased out and replaced with bendy buses (that routinely cause traffic chaos in London’s tight streets and regularly injure cyclists), we all shed a collective tear.

If there is one thing you cannot accuse our wonderful Mayor of, its not wanting to leave a legacy. Whether it’s the Boris Bikes that London has fallen in love with or a the cable car from the O2 to the Excel Center, the guys has vision.

Here then a little selection of the old and the new, of one of the World’s most iconic public transport institutions. I have deliberately mixed them up.
