Forget solar, hybrid, wave power, wind power and even fossil fuels. Cars are only really useful when there are people in them (how useful is a parked car?)
So if you have people in the car anyway, you may as well use the people in the car to make it move. Think I’m joking? There is even an International Human Powered Vehicle Association (IHPVA) and its British incarnation, the BHPC.
Here then 3 lovely examples of fashionable, fun and, most importantly, human powered cars.
1. The Porsche Ferdinand GT3
Probably the best looking of them all, and certainly the fastest looking of them all, is this effort. If you are looking for a track human-powered car, this is probably the on you want to go with.
2. The 2011 HumanInc Car
You can click here to reserve your HumanInc Car. Its a little less sporty, but with the additional benefit of room for passengers. And this baby gets up to 60mph! That’s actually very fast if you think about it.
Frankly, its probably a bit more of a hybrid, because it does have a battery for use if the passengers nod off and stop rowing (rowing????)
3. The GoblinAero
The Goblin Motors produced Aero is available today and is the one you want if you want speed. Apparently it generates 150bhp. I’ll believe it if I see it. Till then, here is the video from the developers.
It even comes as an all-American hot rod version, presumably so that you can drag the Porsche Ferdinand off at the lights.
I had one alredy in forties. 🙂
Check the first photo from my about and it is there.
Happy blogging.
Wow, you were clearly way ahead of your time!
Oh, wait a minute…..
